Dorothy A. Ruble

Aledo, Illinois Dorothy A. Ruble, 93, of Aledo, died Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at the Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo. There will be no formal services per her wishes. Her body was donated for medical study. Memorials may be made to the College Avenue Presbyterian Church, Aledo. Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo, is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy was born on January 31, 1909 in Osceola, Iowa to Charles and Nina (Adamson) Ruble. She graduated from Parson's College. She was a dedicated teacher and librarian in Aledo for many years. Dorothy was a member of the College Avenue Presbyterian Church; the Aledo BPW; Bridge clubs and several ladies clubs, including the ‘Drop Outs' a retired teachers group. Dorothy also loved birds, kittens, poetry and was an avid reader. Dorothy is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and former students in the Aledo area. END OF OBITUARY
