Dennis L. Evans

Dennis L. Evans, 70, of Moline, Illinois, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at home.

Graveside services are Noon Friday, January 13, 2023, at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge, Illinois, where military honors will be presented. Friends are invited to a hospitality gathering to celebrate Dennis’ life from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe (Lower Level), 701 12th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Dennis LeRoy Evans was born October 7, 1952, in Sterling, Illinois, the son of James William and Mae Ellen (Scott) Evans. He graduated from Orion High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking. He also loved his dog, Dollie.

Dennis is survived by two daughters, Samantha Fetterer of Davenport, and Jessica Harmon of Lansing, Kansas; six grandchildren, Bryce (Aimee) Robinson of Moline, Brenden (Kenzie) Robinson of Davenport, Tristan Fetterer of Davenport, and Tadd Savidge, Xavier Harmon and Evan Harmon, all of Lansing, Kansas; three great-grandchildren, Lorenzo and Roman Robinson of Davenport, Phoenix Arrington of Coal Valley, as well as baby “Grey” due to join the family in February of 2023; many nieces and nephews including John Scott of Coin Center, Verl (Ron) Larsen of Orion, Lecia Jo Bridges of Allen, Texas, Mindy (Shane) Hoover of Ohio, Jamie (Linnell) Robinson of Dallas, Texas, MacKenzie Hughes of Texas, Cortney (Josh) Madero of California, and Aaron (Jessica) Christian of North Carolina; and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews including Danny and Scott Larsen. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Viola Evans and Norma Coulter; and a brother, James Evans.
