Dean Hamerlinck

Dean Hamerlinck, 77, of St. Helena, California, formerly of Sherrard, Illinois, died Thursday, December 17, 2015, in St. Helena Hospital.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Rev. Richard Barclift officiating. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Following the burial, friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe.

Robert Dean Hamerlinck was born September 24, 1938, in Moline, to Joseph and Hazel (Countryman) Hamerlinck. He farmed in Durant, Iowa, for 12 years, and then worked in maintenance at Robert Mondavi Winery for several years. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Dean is survived by four children and their spouses, Mike and Dawn Hamerlinck of Bettendorf, Iowa, Deborah and Scott Brown of Pope Valley, California, Sandy and Mike Butler of Napa, California, and Justin Hamerlinck of Texas; six grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Watkins of Geneseo, Illinois, Dale and Dolly Hamerlinck of Milan, Illinois, and Eugene and Betty Hamerlinck of Sherrard.
