David G. Good

David Good, 55, of Reynolds, Illinois, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died unexpectedly Friday, March 3, 2017, at home.

Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, followed by a Masonic funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will take place after services at Trimble Crematory. Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Those wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon at Hamlet Hall across from Hamlet-Perryton Presbyterian Church following the burial. Memorials may be made to the Reynolds Fire Department or Hamlet-Perryton Presbyterian Church.

He was born January 28, 1962, in Moline, the son of Darrell and Patricia (Loui) Good. He married Linda Fox on October 23, 1981, with whom he had two children, Beth and Corey. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring in 2001. He then married Katherine (VanBlaracom) Faust on September 19, 2007, in Silvis, Illinois.

After retiring from the Navy, David worked on the Rock Island Arsenal as a distribution facilities manager. He was a member of Hamlet-Perryton Presbyterian Church and the Aledo American Legion Post #121. He was a member and Past-Master of the Moline Masonic Lodge #1014 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Moline, York Rite Bodies of Rock Island, AMD Council #436, York Rite College #88, and the current District Deputy Grand Master of Illinois.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved his many animals. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Dave, especially his grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his wife, Kathy; two children, Beth (Gabe) Adame of Ingleside, Texas, and Corey (Sherri) Good of Jenks, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Ben, Briana, Elena, and Michael Good, Lindsey and Jonathon Adame, and Harper Good; his parents, Darrell and Pat Good of Moline; siblings, Don Good of Missouri, Dan (Carol) Good of East Moline, and Debbie Janes of Rock Island; many nieces and nephews, and their families; and his mother-in-law, Phoebe VanBlaracom of Rock Island. He was preceded in death by siblings, Walter Good, Darrell Lee Good, and Donna Strange.
