Corey A. Harrell, Jr., 22, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018, in Moline.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Gaines Chapel AME Church, 311 19th Street, East Moline, Illinois. Burial is in the Riverside Cemetery mausoleum. Visitation is 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Caine Cortez Harrell Memorial Fund at IHMVCU.

Corey was born February 1, 1996, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Corey Harrell, Sr. and Tanesha Hampton. One of his greatest joys was breeding dogs. He also enjoyed cars, sports of all kinds (especially baseball), and rapping. Above all else, being a father was the most important thing to Corey. His son, Caine, was his pride and joy.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Corey Sr. and Tanasha Harrell of East Moline; his mother, Tanesha Hampton of Louisville, Mississippi; his son, Caine Cortez Harrell, and Caine's mother and long-time girlfriend, Mari Atnip; siblings, DeShawn Giminez, Antonesha Robertson, Mae Mae Carrol, Jaquel Carrol, and Atoris Slater; grandparents, Shelia Hudson, Harvey Hampton, and Christine Griffin; his aunts, Gaylene Harrell and Troysheana Hawkins; uncles, Justin Burrage, Latron Hampton, Shondrick Hampton, and Timothy Hampton; and many beloved cousins including Tyson Parks III, Demond Thompson, Terrell Jenkins, Todd Jenkins, Courtney Colvin, Dante Brinker, Shameka Jones, Tianna Everett, Tyesha Everett, T.J. Everett, Melva "Punchy" Everett, and Tasia Everett. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruthie Harrell Morgan and Charles Harrell.
