Clarabeth V. Mclean

Beth McLean, 98, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Monday, February 16, 2015, in St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island.

Graveside services will be held on Monday at Moline Memorial Park with The Reverend Don Knowles officiating, Those wishing to attend should meet at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, by 10 a.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The former Clarabeth Virginia Dye was born June 14, 1916, in Silvis, Illinois, to Tennil Ethal and Mary Lula (Swinson) Dye. She married James R. McConnell in 1936, in Rock Island, and he preceded her in death. She later married Royce Warren McLean on November 19, 1994, in East Moline, Illinois. He died August 1, 2012. She was a Real Estate Broker for Lucille Blakey Real Estate for ten years and later owned and operated Stoafer Realty. She was a former member of the Auxiliaries of the Viking Lodge, American Legion, Friends Circle Club, Svithoid Club, and Rock Island Moose. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and sewing.

Beth is survived by a brother, Clarence "Bill" Dye of Moline; three grandchildren, Colynn McConnell-Buck, Connie Rooker, and Curt McConnell, all of California; and a step-daughter and her husband, Deb and Mark Nelson of Moline. She was preceded in death by her son, William McConnell.
