Charles Stanley Uskavitch

Charles Stanley Uskavitch passed away on December 20th, 2023.  He was 93.  Charles was born in LeRoy, NY in 1930.

Stan is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda affectionally known as his sweetheart, two sons Jim and Tammy Uskavitch of Coal Valley, Illinois, and Andrew of St. Pete Beach, Florida; stepson Mike Lykam of St. Augustine, Florida; stepdaughter Stephanie and son-in-law Manny Alaniz of Seminole, Florida. He had 3 grandchildren and 4 Step grandchildren. Charles was proceeded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Christina of East Moline, Illinois and his son Charles Jr. of Dubuque, Iowa. 

A veteran of the Korean War, he was stationed overseas.  He was a prestigious executive for 10 years with Caterpillar and then spent 20 years with John Deere traveling the western hemisphere.   Once retired from Deere, he went on to create, and successfully run an import/export business, and officially retired at the age of 80, when he married his love, Brenda.  They passionately referred to these years as the “dessert of their lives”.  They spent 13 years laughing, golfing on the driving range, and they traveled the world, loving one another hand and hand.  Charles loved his life in Florida and said there was no place better in the world than South Pasadena, Fl. 

He was a true gentleman and a humble man of God who lived his best life with great character and integrity.  He was the man who would gladly give the last dollar in his wallet to a homeless veteran.  His favorite charitable organization was Tunnel to Towers, to which donations in his memory, may be made.

Charles was a lifelong volunteer to many organizations and served on countless board of directors, too many to mention.
He left us all better people, than when he met us.  He had standards and morals that are considered old school now, but people long for those “old school” ways.  He gave generously and offered a beautiful smile to share.  To say he will be missed; is an under statement.
