Bloomington, Illinois Charles E. Primm, 72, Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of Silvis, Illinois, died Sunday, September 21, 2003, in Heritage Manor, Normal, Illinois. Services are 1 p.m. Thursday, at First Baptist Church, Bloomington. The Reverend Spencer Gillespie will officiate. Private burial will be in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Bloomington, or a favorite charity. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of arrangements. Charles Edmund Primm was born May 27, 1931, in Abington, Pennsylvania, the son of Leon Brown Primm and Edna Mae (Seidts) Primm. He graduated from Kansas State University, Manhattan, and received his masters degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Ruth Frist on November 26, 1960, in Glenolden, Pennsylvania. He was employed by the U. S. Government for 25 years in Architectural Engineering, retiring in 1993 from the Rock Island Arsenal Depot. He previously was with the Corps of Engineers at Savanna Army Depot and in Kansas City. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bloomington, and a former member of First Baptist Church, Moline. He enjoyed woodworking and listening to classical music. Charles is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Thomas Arbogast of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Trevor Arbogast and Mackenzie Arbogast; and a sister and brother-in-law, Helen Marie and Kenneth Fryer of Hamburg, Pennsylvania.
