Betty C. Frank, 96, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, October 26, 2018, in Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, Illinois

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, November 1, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Rev. Robb McCoy officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is one hour before the funeral.

Betty Carolyn Frank was born September 14, 1922, in Bushnell, Illinois, to George and Margaret Ann (Sell) Frank. She served in the US Coast Guard as a musician in the Women's Reserve during WW II, and was proud to have played "Taps" at President Franklin Roosevelt's funeral in Washington, DC. Following the war, she toured the world with The Hormel Girls, an all girl orchestra sponsored by the Hormel Company. She was a music and P.E. teacher at Riverdale High School, Port Byron. She belonged to Two Rivers United Methodist Church, Rock Island.

Betty is survived by nephews, Dan Frank Jr. of Rock Island, Mike Frank and his wife Belinda of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, and Don Coe of Georgia; nieces, Debbie Smith of Spaulding, Illinois, and Shirley Larson and her husband Mel of Las Vegas, Nevada; and great-nieces and great-nephews and their spouses, Alan and Chris Coe, Alinda and Gary Littrel, Lisa and Jeff Blumenstein, Daniel James and Cary Frank, Mike Frank Jr., Ian Frank, Derek and Nicole Frank, Chris Hillyer, Cheri and Don Doolin, Kathy and Mark Leathers, James and Jean Hillyer, and Roberta and JJ Borski. She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Frank Sr.; half-siblings, John Coe, Edele Coe, and Edna Bartley; and a great-nephew, Scott Hillyer.
