Aledo, Illinois Bessie Florence Castor, 97, of Aledo died Sunday, May 12, 2002 at the Mercer County Hospital, Aledo. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Millersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church or the Mercer County Nursing Home. Bessie was born on November 26, 1904 in Duncan Township, Mercer County, Illinois to Henry and Stella Willits Bistline. She married Benjamin F. Castor on December 22, 1926 in Aledo, IL. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1976. Bessie lived most of her life and farmed with her husband in Duncan Township. She was an active member of the Antioch Baptist Church, a 50 year member of the former Perryton Home Extension, a member of the Mercer County Historical Society and a die-hard Chicago Cubs Fan. Bessie is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Larry & Patsy Castor of Aledo; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Janice & David Duncan of Aledo and Linda & Loren Sinele of Niota, IL; 10 grandchildren and their spouses: Mark & Lynda Castor, Tracy & Pat Rentfro, Kelly & Myron Higgins, Phil Duncan, Marjie & Jim Earl, Peggy & Steve Johnson, Scott Duncan, Lance & Stacy Sinele, Lane & Angee Sinele, and Lorinda & Tracy Markey; 31 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Elliott of Edgington and a brother-in-law, Paul Castor of Edgington.
