Barbara Lee Hinkle

April 9, 1938 — March 30, 2003

Barbara L. Hinkle, age 64, of Coal Valley, died Sunday, March 30, 2003 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at Trimble Funeral home, Coal Valley. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery; memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Barbara was born on April 9, 1938 in Moline, the daughter of John and Edna (Ziegler) Hawotte. She married James Hinkle in Washington, Indiana. Mrs. Hinkle was employed in the Industrial Relations Department at the John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline for 28 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Coal Valley Church of the Nazarene, enjoyed painting, shooting muzzleloaders, and loved her Schnauzer's. Survivors include her husband, Jim; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Dianne Cox of Redlands, California; fatherand step-mother, John and Mary Alice Hawotte of Coal Valley; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Samuel, and Caitlin Cox all of Redlands, California; two step-sons, Scott Hinkle of Milan, and Steve Hinkle of Morrisville, New York; brother, Richard Bond of Redlands, California; special friend, Troy DeFrane of Milan. Her mother preceded her in death.
