Barbara Gustafson, 91 of Naperville, Illinois, formerly of Moline and East Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012, in Tabor Hill Healthcare, Naperville where she had resided for two years. Previous she owned a Patio Home on the Tabor Hill Campus where she lived for 16 years.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Randy Willers officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Our Saviour?s Lutheran Church music program, 815 S. The former Barbara Elaine Lang was born January 15, 1921, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Per Frederick and Alphild Lingren Lang. She married C. Stanley Gustafson on August 11, 1942, in East Moline. He died November 23, 1996. She was a second grade teacher at Logan School in Moline for 23 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Moline and Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Naperville, Illinois.
Barbara is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jo and Clifford Lundeen of Naperville; two granddaughters, Gretchen Hayes and Kristina McAninch and her husband Michael; and six great grandchildren, Phoebe, Olivia and Ellie Hayes and Kayley, Graham and Noah McAninch, all of Naperville. Two sisters, Muriel Lovestrand and her husband Harold of Chattanooga, Georgia, and Nancy Whittington of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Virginia Lang of Silvis, Illinois; and two brothers, Donald Lang of Roseville, California, and Kenneth Lang of East Moline, Illinois.
