Arnell Baughn

Arnell Baughn, 87, of Milan, Illinois, died Sunday, January 16, 2022, in Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, Illinois.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the service.

The former Arnell Gosa was born January 7, 1935, in Haleyville, Alabama, to Kelsie and Cara Etta (Edwards) Gosa. She married Trudle Baughn on September 30, 1952, in Gattman, Mississippi. She had been a housekeeper at the former Moline Lutheran Hospital. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; and adored babies and little kids. She enjoyed playing Rumicube with friends, watching tv, reading, and laffy-taffy.

Arnell is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Trudle; children and their spouses, Jerry and Nancy Baughn of Tremont, Illinois, Elizabeth and Ken Williams of Festus, Missouri, Theresa Serrano of Coal Valley, Ted Baughn of Macomb, Michigan, Donna and Randy Bryant of Milan, and Tammy Baughn and Brian Huber of Milan, and David Muller of Coal Valley; many grandchildren, including Andrea Jones and her husband Carl and Brandon Wold-Baughn all of Moline; and her sister, Lousie Schmidt.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Muller; a son, Anthony Baughn; a granddaughter, Jerri Michelle Carlton; and siblings, Ruth, Joyce, Lucille, Frank and Roger.
