Arlene Elizabeth Fields, 81, of Moline, Illinois, died, Monday, September 18, 2006, in Pathway Hospice at Trinity Terrace Park, Bettendorf, Iowa.
All Services will be private. Memorial donations may be sent in memory of Arlene to the American Cancer Society. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center in Moline is assisting the family.
The former Arlene Elizabeth Sierk was born August 20, 1925 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Bess (Conrad) Sierk. She married Robert E. Fields on August 7, 1949; he preceded her in death on August 7, 1964. Arlene will be remembered for her work at Lutheran Hospital in Moline as a nurse, administrator, and teacher from 1947 to 1985. Arlene was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Moline, enjoyed gardening, and traveling.
Arlene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Barre and Linda Fields of Plainfield, Indiana, and a grandson, David Fields of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert K. Fields.
