Alice D. Millett

Alice D. Millett, 73, of Moline, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, in her home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. The Reverend Edward Borycz is officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Shriners Childrens? Hospital.
The former Alice Doone Bjorkman was born October 5, 1932, in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of Evart and Helen (Stead) Bjorkman. She married David Millett on May 16, 1954, in Aledo. Alice worked at Moline Public Hospital as a nurse for over 25 years.
Alice was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Moline, the Order of Eastern Star in Aledo, White Shrine in Davenport, Iowa, Moline Public Hospital Retirees, and the American, State, and County Municipal Employees Union. She was a big Cubs fan and enjoyed going to games and watching them play. Alice enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and going on Mystery Bus Trips.
Alice is survived by her husband David of Moline, two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Les Fuller of Moline, and Sally and John Dowsett of DesMoines, Iowa, two grandchildren, Seth and Allissa Dowsett of Des Moines, Iowa, and a brother-in-law, Harold Millett of Milan, Illinois.
