Alda S. Wilson, 99, of Rock Island, Illinois, formerly of Cambridge, Illinois, died Saturday, May 6, at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Silver Cross Nursing Center.
The former Alda Sarah Carver was born March 26, 1907, in Preemption, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse and Edna (Britton) Carver. She married Glenn G. Wilson on February 27, 1926, in Rock Island. He died in 1998.
Alda was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed word search puzzles.
Alda is survived by her nieces, Pauline Woolley of Moline, Mary Lou Cook and Nancy Carver; nephews, Jesse Carver and Readding Carver; many great nieces and nephews including a special great niece, Phyllis Reed; and a special ?granddaughter?, Julie Wilson. She was preceded in death by a son at birth; sisters Blanche Woolley and Ada Lewis; and a brother, Readding Carver.
The family wishes to acknowledge with thanks the special caregivers at Silver Cross who took such good care of Alda.
