Albert B. Loding, 89, of East Moline, Illinois, went with his Lord peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, Illinois.

Visitation is 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Immediately following visitation, graveside services will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, with The Reverend Dr. Mark E. Gehrke officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, where Al was a member.

Albert Bartlet Loding was born January 24, 1925, in Moline, the son of Perry Bartlet and Clara Alice (Hynd) Loding. He graduated from Moline High School in 1942, and he married Wilma Geraldine McGinnis on January 24, 1946, in Moline. She died June 30, 2000.

Al worked for Greenview Memorial Gardens as superintendent and for John Deere Harvester as a mechanic, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of Moose Lodge, East End Club, and the Illinois State Stock Horse Association. Albert will be most remembered by all as a lifelong farmer, always there to help others.

Those left to cherish his memory are children, Helen (Jerry) Oliver of Grimes, Iowa, and Chuck (Charlene) Loding of Orion, Illinois; grandchildren, Andrew Oliver, Amy (Craig) Arthur, Marcia (Keith) Crews, Daniel (Ginny) Baltisberger, and Matthew Baltisberger; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years; daughters, Gayle Calsyn and Susan Baltisberger; and a brother, Perry Loding.
