Mark Bouljon

Mark L. Bouljon, 70, of Wyoming, Minnesota, formerly of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away October 22, 2016.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016, with visitation one hour before in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Following services, there will be a funeral luncheon at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Courage Center, Minneapolis, or Genesius Guild, Rock Island.

Mark attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, Moline, and graduated from Alleman High School in 1964. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1968, with a B.A. in English Literature. After college, Mark taught English literature eight years at United Township High School before becoming involved in winning campaigns for Illinois State Senate, U.S. Senate and Illinois Secretary of State. He served as Deputy County Clerk for Rock Island County before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1985. In 1986, he moved to Dallas, Texas, to become the service manager at Town North Porsche, Audi and Mazda. He joined Maplewood Imports, St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1997. In 2002 he became the Porsche parts specialist at Carousel Automobiles, Minneapolis and retired from Porsche Minneapolis in 2014.

Mark is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara; children, Christina (Rick) Makela, and Jeffrey Manderfeld (fiancée Kristine Bonine); grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler and Aubrey Makela; sister Julie Bouljon; brother Greg Bouljon; nieces Kayti (Jon) Jacobson, and Laura Bouljon (Joseph Lawhorn); and many other loving relatives and friends.
