Chris Uskavitch, 83, of East Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, February 11, 2010, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Ron Stewart officiating. Entombment is in Moline Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.

The former Christian Murray Balfour was born July 19, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Duncan and Mary Milne Balfour. She married Charles Stanley Uskavitch on July 27, 1956, in Peoria, Illinois. She was a member of Broadway Presbyterian Church, Rock Island, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Chris is survived by her husband, Stan; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Tammy Uskavitch of Coal Valley, Illinois, Chuck Uskavitch, Jr. of Dubuque, Iowa, and Andrew and Judy Uskavitch of St. Petersburg, Florida; three grandchildren, Chrissie, Joshua, and Kimberley Uskavitch; and six step-grandchildren.
