Timothy Carr, 45, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, died Friday, August 6, 2010, in Trinity Moline.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with the Reverend Dave Smith, Grace Community Church of Nazarene, officiating. Visitation is 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial is in Mt. Calvary Cemtery, Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.

Timothy Allen Carr was born December 24, 1964, in Harrisburg, Illinois, the son of Harley and Ivy (Cargill) Carr. He married Shirley “Shelly” Groves on August 23, 1986, in Davenport.

Tim was a highly skilled handyman, helping friends, family, and the church whenever needed. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, watching the history and discovery channels, and was a true animal lover. His greatest joy was his family, especially babysitting and spending time with his granddaughter, Sadie.

Tim is survived by his wife, Shelly, a daughter and her fiancé, Kayla Carr and Andrew Hanssen of Davenport, Iowa, a granddaughter, Sadie Jade Hanssen, his mother, Ivy Carr of Moline, sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Dave Gannon of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Pam and Larry Willet of East Moline, Illinois, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and his beloved dog, Sassy.
