John J. Leffler, 58, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of Burlington, Iowa, died Sunday, December 25, 2011, in his home.

Services are 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2012, at Lunning Funeral Chapel, 2620 Mt. Pleasant St., Burlington, Iowa. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the family.

He was born September 3, 1953, in Burlington, to John Henry and Helen Gretchen Fox Leffler. H married Kelley Teichert in 1983, and they were later divorced. He worked heavy construction.

John is survived by daughters, Kayla and Kimbre Leffler of Boone, Iowa; his mother, Helen Leffler of West Burlington, Iowa; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice Joy and Jim Matlick of West Burlington and Linda and Randy DeVrieze of East Moline, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Sandra Sue Hill.
