Eloise M. Lindberg, 84, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010, in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois

Services are 10 a.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Randall Surey officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

The former Eloise Marie Platt was born August 27, 1925, in Hamlet, Illinois, the daughter of William and Agnes Johnson Platt. She married Paul Lindberg in 1976, in Galesburg, Illinois, and he preceded her in death. She was a telephone operator for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for several years, retiring in 1983. She previously operated the switchboard at the LeClaire Hotel in Moline, and was a self-employed massage therapist.

She was a member of First Covenant Church for over 60 years, and belonged to Covenant Women and Shining Light in Orion. She volunteered at her church and Oak Glen Home.

Eloise is survived by her son, Kenneth Pearson of Moline; step-children, Ann Trulson of Rock Island, Dave Lindberg of Coal Valley, June Lanman of Ashville, Ohio, and Beverly Morse of San Benito, Texas; seven grandchildren and their families; several step-grandchildren and their families. She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven and Roger Pearson, a brother and a sister.
