Betty Willett, 77, of Hampton, Illinois, died Monday, January 9, 2012, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, Illinois.

There will be no services. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.

The former Betty Jo Barnes was born December 16. 1934, in Winfield, Alabama. She married Perry K. Willett on May 25, 1963, in Silvis, Illinois. He died May 19, 1996. She retired as a secretary from the Rock Island Arsenal, and previously worked at Servus Rubber and John Deere. She was fiercely loyal to her family, loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed collecting clocks and figurines.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Janice Mayfield of Folsom, California; three grandchildren, Keith K. Mayfield, Jacob P. Mayfield, and Hannah E. Mayfield; and siblings, Lounell Cagle, Ruth Tittle, Sam Barnes, and Eugene Barnes, all of Alabama, Wiley Barnes of Moline, and Judy Gulley of Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, and one brother.
