Your Great-Aunt Lydia was a free spirit. She left instructions that she wants to give everyone a chance to say their final goodbyes with a viewing and then be cremated, after which she wants a send-off party at Lake Michigan. What do you do with her ashes? You could bury them on the family plot, spread them on private property in a special ceremony or have them made into a cherished piece of jewelry.
Grandmother Johnson was more conservative. She wants a very traditional ceremony, with a viewing, a service at the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at the cemetery. You have many choices in the casket, the vault, stationery and tribute items, and headstone or marker.
